LIAB recording artist The Sugar Roots wins the Cascade Blues Associations 2021 Journey to Memphis. The band will head to Memphis TN in January of 2022 to compete in the Blues Foundation's "International Blues Challenge". A list of past IBC finalists includes names like Susan Tedeschi, Tommy Castro,Sean Costello, and Albert Cummings.
The Sugar Roots J2M win is timed perfectly as they prepare to enter the studio 9/13/21 to record their debut album. The yet to be titled record is slated for release 10/3/21 and several release events have already been scheduled with label mate Mick Schafer.
